Our Sedation Dentistry Team
Dr. Hesham Sherghin
B.Sc., D.D.S., M.B.A., M.Sc., m.sc*, m.sc**
Dr. Sherghin has spent over 15 years helping nervous, complex, and special-needs patients get dental care in a relaxed, pain-free setting. He holds certifications in Nitrous and Oral-Moderate Sedation, Parenteral IV Conscious Sedation, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and he built Sleep Dentists specifically to give anxious patients a calmer path to treatment.
His practice is built on empathy and patient-centered care. Dr. Sherghin takes the time to listen to each patient’s concerns, explain every option clearly, and tailor a sedation plan to fit their comfort level, not the other way around.

Lauren
Respiratory Therapist and Anesthesia Coordinator
Lauren graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in 2014. She went on to further her education and graduated from Fanshawe College with an Advanced Diploma in Respiratory Therapy in 2018. Lauren has been working as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in dental anesthesia since graduating and maintains her registration with the Ontario College of Respiratory Therapists.
Lauren has experience in anesthesia working with both the adult and pediatric population, regularly updating her skills in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Lauren has always had a passion for anesthesia! Having the ability to ease the fear and anxiety of patients and make their dental experience enjoyable is a joy in itself. She prides herself in ensuring that each and every patient has a positive and safe sedation experience.
Ania
Dental Assistant Level II
Ania graduated from Fanshawe College as a Level II Dental Assistant in 2016. Throughout her career, she has worked alongside Dr. Sherghin in all aspects of general dentistry and is a trusted member of his clinical team. In addition, Ania regularly assists with our specialists in periodontics, endodontics, orthodontics and prosthodontics.
She has a strong passion for photography and digital dentistry, including 3D printing, CAD/CAM, same-day crowns, in-house lab work and surgical planning.
Above all, Ania enjoys connecting with her patients. She takes pride in making every patient feel comfortable, confident and cared for and she is proud to be a part of a team that can offer all these services in one location.
Caleigh
Dental Assistant Level II
Caleigh graduated from Fanshawe College as a Level II Dental Assistant in 2022. Since graduating, she has had the opportunity to travel alongside Dr. Sherghin, gaining experience in a variety of dental procedures and working with patients in many different areas of dentistry.
Throughout her career, Caleigh has developed a particular interest in sedation dentistry and enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and at ease during their dental treatment. She takes pride in creating a welcoming environment for patients and building genuine relationships with them along the way.
Caleigh is excited to continue growing her skills and knowledge within the dental field while being part of a team that is dedicated to providing patients with a positive experience and high-quality care.
